Projects and approvals are being fast tracked and construction related companies are gearing up for a busy year ahead both in private and government projects. While Defence Estate usually dominates Commonwealth tenders in the construction space, this week sees a range of opportunities with the CSIRO.
Cotton Processing Facility and Plant and Soil Support Facility Construction Contractor
This Tender has been detailed in two Parts to allow seperate evaluation of both sections:
Part 1 – Construction of the Cotton Processing Facility (Processing Facility)
Part 2 – Construction of the Plant and Soil Field Support Facility (Support Facility).
As an outcome of this Tender, CSIRO intends to Contract with a Successful Supplier for the provision of the Processing Facility with an option to include the construction of the Support Facility if it is deemed to represent a value for money outcome. An industry Brief was held on the 9 Jun 20 via webex. Details will be available via Addendum on Austender. This RFT closes on 30 Jun 20.
Construction Works for GMP Facility – Building 205A Clayton
CSIRO is seeking to Construct a Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Facility at CSIRO Clayton. The facility will enable process development and production of clinical-grade biologicals to address an unmet need in the Victorian and Australian Biotech landscape. This new facility should be compliant with Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA), Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and European Medicines Agency (EMA) regulations to allow the worldwide use of its outputs. In addition to certification for therapeutic goods, the facility shall also meet certification requirements for the Office of the Gene Technology Regulator (OGTR)physical containment level 2 (PC2) Large Scale facilities. Mandatory Site visits will be held between 9 June 2020 and COB 16 June 2020 (excluding weekend).This RFT close date has been extended to 6 Jul 20.
Head Contractor for the Demolition of B111 and B010 – Black Mountain
CSIRO is seeking responses from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of demolition related services. The works include site management, service isolations and temporary service supply, geotechnical and contamination studies in addition to the demolition activities. An industry brief is being held on the 15 Jun via webinar. The closing date is 6 Jul 20 and works are expected to commence Aug 20.
Construction Services for Parkville Relocation Project
CSIRO is seeking responses from suitably qualified and experienced service providers for the provision of Construction Services to modify Building 201 (B201) at CSIRO’s Clayton Campus and refurbish part of Level 1 within Building 002 (B002) of CSIRO’s Werribee Agriculture and Food offices in readiness for relocation of various laboratories and staff from Parkville as part of the Parkville Relocation Project. Tenderers must attend a Mandatory Site Visit for this RFT. The Site Visits will be provided between 15 June 2020 and 19 June 2020 at CSIRO Clayton Vic. This RFT closes on 10 Jul 20.
