The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) is seeking to enter into arrangements to replace its current Managed Network Services contract which is due to expire mid 2020. The plan is to move from a single contract covering all network services to a split series of contracts which are to align with the Digital Transformation Agency marketplace panels. The scope of services has been split into six market aligned modules – Network Manager Services, Unified Communications Services, Contact Centre Services, Data Carriage and Internet, Fixed Voice and Mobile Services.
This week there are 2 new RFTs covering 4 of these modules, the first of these is for for the provision of Fixed Voice Services under the Managed Network Services program.
The second RFT is for the provision of 3 more modules Network Management, Unified Communications, and Contact Centre Services
The ATO will be holding online Industry Briefings on 11th December 2020, with specific details advised via an Addendum. Note that an intention to respond is required to be submitted which includes a Confidentiality undertaking. It is intended that the new Contracts will be in place by 30 Jun 2020 with an initial contract period of three years with options to extend. Both RFTs close on 31st January 2020.
