This week the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) has issued 16 Requests for Tender (RFTs) seeking research partners in a variety of areas. The GRDC’s purpose is to invest in research and development to improve profitability for Australian farmers and undertakes and funds studies across a wide range of topics.
The majority of RFTs released this week focus on the Western Region and cover topics such as crop agronomy, best practice glyphosate use, lupins and legumes, summer cropping, weed seed management and seeding systems among a variety of others.
With the concurrent release and closing date of these RFTs, competition for an individual opportunity is reduced. This broadens the chances for more organisations to gain success in partnering with the GRDC. So for research and educational institutions with specialities in this field, this mass RFT release is a good time to invest in preparing a submission. All but one RFT is due on the 12th January 2018 , and submissions must be entered at the GRDC portal, not Austender.
