The Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT), by its nature, frequently issues tenders that require work to be undertaken in overseas locations. This tends to include work in developing and maintaining Australian facilities located overseas such as embassy and high commission buildings. These tenders can include the development of ICT infrastructure, physical building construction, or even the supply of furniture as required by the current RFT for the Australian High Commission in Kenya.
DFAT also administers the Australian Aid Program who’s mission is too promote prosperity, reduce poverty and enhance stability within Australian partner nations, specifically focussing on the Indo-Pacific region. This week there are two such opportunities. The first RFT seeks Quality and Technical Assurance Services that would assist the Australian High Commission Port Moresby to undertake monitoring and evaluation of its aid portfolio. An industry brief is being held in Brisbane on 4th October and the RFT closes 6 Nov 17.
The second opportunity is in Indonesia and seeks technical assistance support and the provision of logistical support to government-to-government institutional partnerships. This work will form part of the Australia-Indonesia Economic Cooperation Partnership. The industry brief for this RFT is being held in Jakarta, and the RFT closes 6 Nov 17.
