As part of its role to manage National Capital Estate, the National Capital Authority (NCA) is seeking hydrometric and dam safety services for the management of Scrivener Dam, ACT. This week the NCA has issued two separate Requests for Tender (RFT) seeking experienced service providers to fulfill these roles.
Scrivener Dam Safety and Surveillance Services 2019-2022: This RFT seeks a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to provide Safety and Surveillance Services which includes the provision of specialist advice on dam safety management at Scrivener Dam. The task is governed by the existing Dam Safety Management Plan (DSMP) which identifies the hierarchy of responsibilities. The three main aspects of this contract will include:
– Provision of a Dam Safety Engineer,
– Provision of a Project Manager, and
– Provision of Dam surveillance
The initial term of this service is 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2022 (3 years) with the possibility for a three year extension. The Estimated Value of the RFT is $600,000-$900,000.
Provision of Scrivener Dam Hydrometric Services 2019-2024: This RFT provides a longer contract opportunity (five years) and is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to operate and maintain the NCA Hydrometric Services network. This network consists of twenty four sites that capture hydrometric data for Dam operations, providing an early flood warning system for the dam. This service is to be provided in a timely and professional manner as the expectation is for ‘real time’ data collection and provision to the NCA and the Bureau of Meteorology. The initial term of this service is 1 July 2019 to 30 June 2024 (5 years) with the possibility of a further three year extension. The estimated value of the RFT is $900,000-$1,400,000.
Both RFTs anticipate a transition-in period between 10-30 June 2019, and place the highest weighting for evaluation on company experience and capacity. Both RFTs close 27 March 2019.
