Defence currently has a Environment and Heritage Panel due to expire in March 2020. In preparation, Defence is seeking to establish a new panel of consultants in the areas listed below. The Panel will comprise of consultants who can provide ongoing Environment, Heritage and Estate Engineering related services in support of defence establishments and other Commonwealth facilities. This panel is being built up in a series of ‘Tranches’ of which these categories represents the first Tranche:
– Sustainable Buildings and Estate
– Climate Risk and Adaptation;
– Mechanical Engineering Services
– Hydraulic Engineering Services
Note that these opportunities are being issued as a series of stand alone RFTs, as opposed to a single Approach to Market (ATM). This means each category of service requires a separate RFT submission. There are sections nominated within the tender response that will not require repetition if you do chose to tender on more than one category, so ensure you take note of this.
As in most cases previous experience undertaking similar work is desirable, however it is important to note specific requirements with respect to skills and qualifications that are being sought for each category. Being specialist services, the RFT documentation outlines the qualifications or specific areas of experience that will be required.
The initial term of the Panel agreement will be five (5) years with an option to extend by a further three (3) years. An industry briefing is being held via webcast at 11 am on 4 Jun 19, or in person in Canberra. This RFT closes 11 Jul 19.
