A few weeks ago Defence released the RFT for the Deployable Health Capability. This represented Phase 3 of Joint Project 2060, a tri service project that has been running for several years introducing new and improved elements into Defence’s Health system. This week Defence has released a notice regarding Phase 4 of JP 2060, the Health Knowledge Management System. This will be the underlying IT information management system that will tie in all the physical aspects of the defence Health System. This RFT will be seeking a commercial, information technology, enterprise knowledge solution that captures health data, and collates and manages the information across the tri-service health care system. It will need to integrate across the deployed and non-deployed, garrison environment. The solution would be required to provide greater healthcare business functionality, utilise an efficient health informatics process and enable improved clinical medical decisions for patients. It would also be required to interface with Defence ICT platforms, allied coalition partners, Australian healthcare providers and nominated Government agencies.
