This week we look at a series of marketing and communication inititaives issued by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC). The GRDC is an Australian government research organisation responsible for planning, investing in and overseeing research and development to deliver improvements in production, sustainability and profitability across the Australian grains industry.
GRDC has issued two ‘series’ of opportunities: the GRDC Research Update Series and the GRDC Farm Business Update Series. Each series is split by region (northern, southern and western) and issued as a seperate procurement.
Farm Business Update Series: The GRDC is seeking organisations that can arrange information sessions in the region, using engaging speakers and content, that will improve business management skills of farmers and provide an opportunity for networking. In addition, sessions are to deliver content that informs growers of the return on investment and the potential financial benefits for adoption of GRDC R&D investments
Research Update Series: This series is more tailored to each region, with specific locations and events sepcified. The contracts will run for 5 years and the series is intended to provide an opportunity for growers, advisers and agribusiness to interact and network, with leading researchers and organisations from across Australia. It is also an opportunity for grains researchers and industry experts to present their latest research and findings by delivering the latest trial results directly to the grains industry.
All opportunities mentioned above close on the 27th February. It is important to note that the GRDC does not accept tender submissions via Austender, instead all responses must be submitted through the Grains Investment Portal at https://access.grdc.com.au. Applicants are welcome to tender for one or more of the regions.
