Defence Housing Australia (DHA) is a government organisation that provides housing and related services to Australian Defence Force (ADF) members and their families. As part of their services, DHA is required to provide responsive and supportive Residential Maintenance Services, particularly in times of high ADF operational activity. As such, this week DHA has issued a Request for Tender (RFT) to establish a Residential Maintenance Services Panel of Contractors to undertake routine and emergency maintenance services for 18,000 properties nationwide. The trades being called for are as follows:
– Air Conditioning Refrigerated
– Air Conditioning Evaporative
– Security Alarm
– Electric Appliance
– Gas Appliance
– Electrical
– Gas Heating
– Hot Water System
– Gas Plumbing
– Roof Plumbing
– Sanitary and Drainage Plumbing
– Pool Maintenance
– TV Antennas and Cabling
While this opportunity is nationwide, not all trades are required in each state or region. DHA will be holding industry briefings for proposed tenderers, however dates, times and locations are yet to be advised. Successful tenderers will be engaged under a Deed of Agreement which will run for an initial term of three years with the option to extend for a further 4 years. Please note that DHA uses an online tendering portal called Apet 360, which is independent of Austender and all submissions must be uploaded onto that site. Successful contractors are expected to begin their appointment on 1 July 2019.
