The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is an Australian Government agency whose purpose is to invest in research and development to create enduring profitability for Australian grain growers. All year round the GRDC issues Request for Tender (RFT) opportunities for research organisations to study and report on a variety of grain farming issues that range from disease management, farming systems, soils, pests and weed control. This week we look at another set of opportunities from GRDC that seek to establish grain grower networks across Australia:
GRDC Grower Network – Southern Region
GRDC Grower Network – Southern NSW
GRDC Grower Network – Central QLD
GRDC Grower Network – QLD Coastal and Hinterland
GRDC Grower Network – NSW Coastal and Tablelands
GRDC Grower Network – Western Region
The GRDC is looking for service providers to coordinate and facilitate these networks, which seek to bring together GRDC staff, researchers and industry experts, growers and advisors. Experts are invited to present and discuss regionally relevant topics with participants (growers and advisors),and thereby provide a valuable two way flow of information between the presenters and forum participants.
The selected Service Provider would be required to undertake the planning, promotion, delivery and reporting of both Grower Network Meetings and subregional Grower Forums and undertake the facilitation of post forum discussions. The issues that are captured during the Grower Forums will provide a foundation for discussion and analysis during the Grower Network meetings. Contracts will be established for 5 years with a review at the 3 year mark and it is anticipated that the Contracts will commence in July 2020.
The Closing Date for these RFTs is 12th March 2020. Each network listed above is a separate opportunity requiring a separate application. It should also be noted that the GRDC requires that all applications be submitted via the GRDC Grains Investment Portal.
