Earlier this year the Department of Finance engaged with industry in a consultation process on a proposed whole of government management advisory services panel. As is the case with Requests for Information, the Department was seeking input on proposed scopes of work, contractual terms and pricing models. This week, a consolidation of industry feedback has been issued with confirmation that the procurement will proceed.
The procurement activity will establish a new Whole of Australian Government Management Advisory Services Consultancy Panel that is aimed at improve the quality, consistency and efficiency for government agencies engaging these types of services.
Three Service Areas are to be covered by the panel arrangement and these are Financial, Corporate and Commercial Management Advisory Services, with the intention for three separate Requests for Tender being issued in the following phases:
– Phase 1 Financial Management Advisory Services to be released Early November 2020. This will include preparation and evaluation of financial statements and other financial information, accounting policies and procedures, chart of accounts analysis, best practice application and compliance
– Phase 2 Corporate Management Advisory Services to be released Quarter 2 2021
– Phase 3 Commercial Management Services to be released Quarter 4 2021
Further details on the financial scope services has been issued along with the industry feed back and an update to the proposed Head Agreement. It is intended that all existing department specific panels for these services will no longer operate once the new arrangements are established.
