As their title suggests, Tourism Australia is the government agency responsible for promoting Australia to the world as a destination for business and leisure travel. This week they have issued two opportunities seeking public relations services in Australia and China.
Public Relation Services – China: Tourism Australia is seeking one or more service provider/s to deliver public relations services to support their marketing and communication activities in China. Creative and innovative thinking will be assessed through multiple exercises that will allow tenderers to practically demonstrate their ability to deliver truly compelling and effective high-quality work for Tourism Australia.
There are two options for responding to this RFT. Tenderers can either choose the full scope of services which encompasses strategic PR, media relations, brand and reputation management, business events and social media or decide to tender on the social media aspects only. The proposed contract term is initially for 24 months, commencing 1 August 2019 with the option to extend the term for a further 12 months. This RFT is due 8 Apr 19.
Public Relations Services – Australia: Tourism Australia is looking to partner with one Service provider to develop and implement public relations programs to support the organizations global and regional marketing and communications campaigns in Australia and to provide services for global PR projects and campaigns over the next 24-36 months. This is a broader scoped opportunity and requires tenderers who are able to leverage the latest channels, techniques tools and thinking to communicate effectively with mainstream and trade print, online, broadcast, radio and social media to maximise consumer engagement.
As a brand that represents the national character of Australia to much of the world, it is important that an agency partner also has a demonstrated understanding and affinity for contemporary Australia, it’s people and culture as much as understanding and insight into the target audience of High Value Travellers in key markets.
Contract is expected to commence 1 August 2019 with a proposed contract term is of 24 Months with the option of extension. This RFT closes 9 Apr 19
