As with most major Defence Projects, Land200 is both multiphased and multidisciplined. While primarily a comms project to provide modernised radios for Army and an upgraded Battle Management System, the facilities to support this capability are a project in themselves. This week the Request for Expressions of Interest (EOI) has been released for Design Services for the facilities that will support Land200 Tranche2. The services required cover architecture, landscape, surveying, geotechnical and a wide range of engineering specialisations (comms, civil, electrical, mechanical and more). Design services will be required at sites across NT, SA, Queensland, Victoria and NSW and is estimated to cost $1.3 to $1.9 million.
This is a two stage procurement process, commencing with this EOI, from which tenderers will be shortlisted for the next stage, the RFT. So its important that you submit a competitive bid and follow the instructions carefully. A series of forms have been supplied for completion which streamlines the process. However, please note that unlike most tenders, you are require to deliver 3 hardcopies of your bid, so ensure you allow adequate time for printing and delivery.
