If you’re in the security game be it as an equipment provider or as a services provider or any combination thereof, then you should be considering the RFTs that are currently open. Two departments, are seeking a panel of security industry suppliers: Attorney General requires advice, supply, installation and maintenance of physical security, while Immigration & Border Protection is seeking a broader range which also includes security monitoring centres and the provision of security guards. Being panel arrangements means the chances of being selected is higher, and you can bid on one or more of a variety of requirements. Immigration and Border Protection will be offering an Industry Brief on 12 May 17 which can be accessed remotely via telephone/video conference.
A third opportunity is for the Australian Maritime Museum, this is for one supplier only that can provide the full suite of operational security services comprising of control room and security guard functions on a 24-four hour, seven day basis. An industry brief is being held for this opportunity on the 9th May, however as with all industry briefs, all information provided at the session will be available on Austender following the brief.
