In an effort to improve access to Legal services for government agencies, a new legal panel is being established to replace the Legal Multi-Use List which recently expired. This new panel will be mandated for use by the majority of Commonwealth entities with only minor exemptions and is intended to run for five years. Managed by the Attorney-General’s Department, the Request for Tender is seeking legal services in the following Areas of Law:
– Workplace, Industrial Relations and Compensation;
– Public law;
– Corporate and commercial;
– Property and environment; and
– Litigation Specialisation.
Tenderers may offer to provide Legal Services under an Area(s) of Law; and/or Legal Support Services, noting that you may tender for services in one or more Areas of Law and are not required to tender for all the Practice Areas under an Area of Law. This opens the RFT to a large number of respondents, and the evaluators will limit the numbers based on those who provide greatest value for money as well as taking into consideration the expected demand across the various Areas of Law. It is to be noted that being a panel, no negotiation of terms and conditons is likely to be entered into, particularly as the Head agreement has already undergone industry consultation and been amended accordingly.
RFT responses are due 17 Dec 18, and it is anticipated that the Panel will commence 1 July 2019.
